Baristha Nagarika Tirtha Yatra Yojana 2023
It is a common tradition in Hindu cultureto embark on religious pilgrimages, with countless sacred sites scattered throughout the nation. Through this scheme, pilgrims above 60 years of age from BPL families will be given 100% concession along with drinking water, vegetarian food, accommodation, special travel kit, travel insurance etc. The government will organize three trips every year for the citizens applying and the applicant will be given Rs.18,000/- for the first trip, Rs.12,000/- for the second journey and Rs.16,000/- for the third journey.

- Applicants must be permanent citizens of the state.
- Applicants age should be more than 60 years.
- Applicants should meet specific fitness standards to embark on the journey and should not have any type of health problem.
- Economically disadvantaged senior citizens including Below Poverty Line (BPL) and non-taxable individuals in the Above Poverty Line (APL) group.

- Application form is available in both online and offline modes.
- You can visit the Official Website of Tourism Department to apply online.
- After downloading application form, take a print out of the application form.
- Fill the required information in application form.
- Now submit the application form at the address of concerning tourism department office.
- Note:There is no online registration procedure yet for applying Barishta Nagarika Tirtha Yatra Yojana.
Selection Process of Beneficiaries
- Maximum 1000 eligible candidates will be selected for a trip by the state administration and tourism department.
- After submission of applications, both the departments verify and examine the received applications.
- A dedicated committee of the Tourism Department scrutinized the applications received after the last date.
- The final selection will be done by the RDC office.
- The mentioned departments prepared 200 waiting passengers.
