Government of Kerala has launched the Kerala Kedavilakku Scholarship Scheme 2023 for the students studying in Class I to VIII in Government and Government Aided Schools. Students who have scored higher marks and their annual family income is lower and they fall under the OBC category will be selected on the basis of application invited for the year 2023-24 under this Scheme. Kerala Kedavilakku Scholarship Scheme 2023
This scholarship scheme is launched by the Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan for the students studying in class I to VIII of other backward classes, either they are studying in Government or Government Aided schools. Recently Kerala government has announced a detailed notification that clearly specifies 47 minority categories who are eligible for the scholarship. The students who are selected under the scholarship will get Rs. 1500/- per year. This scholarship amount will be directly transferred to the bank account of the eligible beneficiary.

Objectives of Kerala Kedavilakku Scholarship Scheme
Some of the objectives of the scheme are as follows:
- Primary objective of the scheme is to provide scholarships who are studying in Government and Government aided schools of Kerala from class I to VIII.
- Another objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the eligible students.
Benefit of the Kerala Kedavilakku Scholarship Scheme
Students will be provided Rs. 1,500/- per annum as a scholarship amount under this scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
The students who are applying for this scholarship should follow the eligibility criteria which are as follows:
- Students who are permanent resident of the Kerala State.
- Students must be studying in class I to VIII.
- Only Government and Government Aided School Students are eligible.
- Annual Family income of the student should not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lakh.
- Those students who have cleared their last examination with more than 90% marks.
- Persons belonging to OEC, OBC(H) and Minority Categories are not required to apply.
- The income Certificate available through the e-District Portal must be submitted along with the application.

The Kerala Kedavilakku Scholarship 2023-24 is introduced for the Other Backward Community students from Kerala to offer them financial assistance of Rs. 1500 per year.
