The Honourable Minister of Home Affairs of the Federation, who is based in Guwahati, Assam, launched the Ayushman CAPF on 23 January 2021. All CGHS and PM JAY private hospitals will gradually offer the health services covered by Ayushman CAPF Healthcare Scheme. Ayushman CAPF Healthcare Scheme 2023
The National Health Authority and the Ministry of Home Affairs collaborated to create the programme. The program’s goal is to use the Ayushman Bharat PM JAY IT platform to offer cashless health services to CAPF personnel and their families. The Ayushman CAPF scheme was introduced on 23 January 2021 in Assam and will be gradually expanded throughout the entire nation.
They said that in contrast to the NSG and the Assam Rifles which serve on the orders of his ministry Shah will give over the first Aayushman to the chief officer and the jawan of the CAPF like the CRPF, BSF, ITBP and SSB.
The combination of Ayushman Bharat and CAPF is the first programme of its sort to take advantage of the country’s strong IT infrastructure, network of private hospitals and potential for service movement. Through this project, the NHA’s IT platform will replace any manual, paper based processes that CAPF personnel and their families now use to access healthcare benefits.

- As part of this scheme, chiefs, sub officers and jawans from the central armed police forces CAPF including the CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP and SSB as well as NSG and the Assam Rifles under his ministry’s authority would get the first Ayushman health cards.
- The CAPF jawans would receive the treatment packages of Rs. 5 lakh.
- The programme would provide cashless and paperless treatment.
- With 10 lakh employees, the CAPF is in charge of internal security tasks throughout the nation, and the first Ayushman health card will be given to CAPF officials in order to protect them with treatment options.
