To benefit from this program, recipients do not need to register. They just need to make updates to the DPAR section of the HRMS database for e-governance regarding themselves and their dependents.

- The applicant must reside in Karnataka.
- Members of households that depend on the government are also eligible for this program.
- The applicant must work for the state government.
- The police Arogya Bhagya scheme is a distinct health insurance program for police officers hence it does not apply to the police department.
- Pensioners are not included in this scheme.
- Government employees will not be eligible if the benefits are currently being used in any other government sponsored health plans.
- This program is not open to employees of assisted autonomous institutions that do not have KGID numbers connected to the HRMS database.
