A Rs 2,000 monthly payment for Daiva Narthakas over 60 years old has also been declared by the BJP led Karnataka government.
Objective for Karnataka Diva Narthaka Allowance Scheme
Daiva Narthakas will now get a 2,000 rupee each month from the state of Karnataka. Daiva dancers are individuals who do performances while clothed as celestial creatures. Only Daiva dancers above the age of 60 will be eligible for this honorarium. PC Mohan, a BJP lawmaker tweeted this information. He said that Hinduism includes the Bhoot Kola tradition which was shown in the movie Kantara.
