Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Scheme 2024
The state government of Tamil Nadu has launched a scheme, Moovalur Ramitham Scheme 2023 for schoolgirls as well as college women of the state. At first, it was launched only for schoolgirls from 6th standard to 12th standard. The main aim of this scheme is to boost women’s literacy in the state as well as women’s entrepreneurship. In all, 698 crores of rupees were allocated to the plan for the fiscal years 2022–2023. The amount will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the students, and they will receive a 1000 rupee credit every month from the government under the scheme.
Government laws mandate that bankers’ committees and management make it a top priority to ensure that students who utilise the benefit are provided bank accounts without a balance or other additional features. “Female students need to have access to debit cards that can be used to withdraw cash,”

Objective of the Moovalur Ramamirtham Scheme
The main objective is to improve the proportion of female students engaged in higher education. Women who are enrolled in higher education will receive cash in the amount of Rs 1,000 under the scheme from the state of Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility Criteria of the Moovalur Ramamirtham Scheme
