Government schools have received a new lease on life because of the Mana Ooru Mana Badi scheme, the State government’s premier project for comprehensive development and reinforcing infrastructure in government schools, which was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister in 2022. The requirements include running water for the toilets, electricity, supply of drinking water, furniture, painting the entire school, green chalkboards, compound walls, kitchen sheds, new classrooms in place of outdated ones, dining halls in high schools and the introduction of digital learning.
