Eligibility for the TS Aasara Pension Scheme 2023
The Eligibility Criteria for for this scheme is given below:
- Old age is defined as 65 years and older.
- The candidate must come from a primitive or defenceless tribe.
- Pension eligibility is restricted to one family member, ideally a woman.
- Regardless of whether they reside in rural or urban areas, landless agricultural labourers,rural artisans/craftsmen,slum dwellers, and people who earn a living in the informal sector such as porters, coolies,rickshaw pullers,hand cart pullers,fruit/flower vendors,snake charmers,rag pickers,cobblers and other similar categories are all eligible.
- Eligible are homeless and houseless households mainly in metropolitan regions who reside in transient,unofficial buildings or huts.
- Additionally eligible are households headed by widows,terminally sick,disabled or seniors 65 years of age or older without a steady source of income or societal assistance.
For widows
Widows must be older than 18 years of age.
The candidate must come from a primitive or defenceless tribe.
For Weavers
- For widows the age requirement is 50 or more.
- The candidate must come from a primitive or defenceless tribe.
- One individual may only get benefits from a family’s pension.
- Weaving should be a person’s profession, whether they reside in a city or the country.
For Disable Person
- People with disabilities of all ages are eligible for the scheme.
- The candidate must come from a primitive or defenceless tribe.
For Toddy Tappers
- Age must be at least 50 years old.
- The candidate must come from a primitive or defenceless tribe.
- Whether they reside in an urban or rural area,the person’s occupation should be Toddy Tapping.
- For Toddy Tapper Pensions,proof of the beneficiary’s membership in the Co-Operative Society of Toddy Tappers is necessary.
