The Assam Government has taken a great initiative and launched the latest scheme which is called Arundhati Gold Scheme, which is basically a Social Welfare Scheme. With the help of this scheme, the government will provide them a assistance of 10 gm gold, and directly transferred to the accounts of the brides. Benefits of Arundhati Gold Scheme

Eligibility Criteria
- If you are willing to apply for the Arundhati Gold Scheme, then you are required to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the scheme:
- This scheme is available only for the citizens who live in Assam state, and have a permanent residency.
- This rule only applies to brides who have registered their marriage at the registry office under the Special Marriage Act.
- To take advantage of the system, the bride’s annual household income must be less than 5 lakhs.
- The benefit of the system will only be available if it is the bride’s first marriage.
- The bride must have passed Class 10, and should at least 18 years old.
- The child must be at least 21 years old. Only Rs 30,000 will be transferred to all brides’ bank accounts, and brides can use the money to buy 10 grams of gold for herself.
Application procedure of Arundhati Scholarship Scheme
- Candidates who are willing to apply fir the scheme they can make a registration for the Arundhati Gold Scheme along with the Marriage Registration Application under the Special Marriage Act 1984.
- The girl applicant also submits an online application to avail the benefits of the Arundhati Gold Scheme.
- After completing the form, the applicant must submit the same online by clicking on the submit button at the end of the form and also take a printed copy of the form with them.
- The applicant will then receive a shipping confirmation for the attachment of their required
application form from the registry office to which the form was sent. - If the application is approved, the Registrar will transfer the amount of the settlement directly to the applicant’s bank account.
- The bank account number must be the same as the one provided online where the bank account number was provided with the IFSC code.
